SAFER CARE VICTORIA - Mental Health Improvement program
Devising and identity & a learning community
Breaking through the noise in mental health care meant finding a new way to share learning and build a sector-wide community.
Strengthening human rights in mental health care – and changing decades-old practices – sat at the heart of Safer Care Victoria’s Mental Health Improvement Program (MHIP).
A wealth of good work was underway to achieve crucial Royal Commission recommendations, but the MHIP team needed to cut through the clutter and share their progress more widely.
They also wanted to create a genuine network – connecting clinicians, government, patients, carers and peak bodies – to share knowledge and accelerate change.
Neon Bureau devised a communications strategy and sharp visual identity that helped the program become better known across the sector. Reaching time-poor clinicians in remote and crowded environments required something fresh, authentic, and centred around the real experiences of people working in the sector.
To bring learnings to life, we produced a unique vodcast series and helped architect the MHIP learning community. Instead of relying on the old webinar or podcast formats, we put MHIP staff in the hosting seat in a video format with a live moderated chat– allowing authentic conversations that resonated across the sector.
